Plant Description

English Ivy is one of the most adaptable and variable of all 'groundcovers.' This means that it is often used to cover bare places of ground and is dense in its nature of growth. With a habit that most often chokes out competing plants and weeds, English Ivy is excellent in preventing soil erosion. English Ivy is particularly useful where little else will grow. It is also commonly used as a decorative addition for buildings. This means that it is most often used to grow on sections of buildings, walls, and fences for its aesthetic beauty. The glossy dark green leaves are evergreen and retain their color year round. This 'groundcover' can grow in shade to full sun.

Prices are for bareroot English Ivy plant packages. English Ivy can be shipped year round.

Thank You for your business. Please email or call if you have any questions. Retail orders are shipped via priority mail. For a quote on larger quantities, please call or email us.

These plants are not in storage, they are dug fresh on receipt of your order. When your order is received, we dig as soon as the weather permits. This timeframe is normally within one week. If we need to delay your shipment for weather concerns, we will advise you by phone or e-mail.

Planting Instructions - Dig a hole about 8 to 12 inches in diameter, with a depth no deeper than the original soil line on stem. Break up the soil to the finest consistency possible. Place plant in hole and fill, compacting the fill dirt. Water the plant heavily to seal soil around the roots and remove air pockets. Fertilize according to the recommendation of your local agriculture extension agents, or fertilize based on your own knowledge and experience. Plant one plant for ever one square foot. The larger the plant the faster the area will fill in.

We ship via Priority Mail from zip-code 37111. We DO NOT ship to west of the Rocky Mountains.

Shipping season starts in mid-October and ends in early to mid-April dependent on weather. Please enter your email address to receive notification when our plants are available and for special offers. Your contact information will be held private.
